Niger Wife Residence Permit in Nigeria – If you’re a foreign woman Getting to a Nigerian citizen—commonly referred to as a “Niger Wife”—you will be eligible to apply for a residence permit in Nigeria. 1. Eligibility
- Legally married to a Nigerian citizen.
- Possess a valid international passport with at least six months’ validity.
- No Criminal record
- Must be in Good Health Condition
2. Required Documents
- Formal Application Letter: Addressed to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) requesting a residence permit.
- Completed Form IMM22: Submit in triplicate with three recent passport-sized photographs.
- Marriage Certificate: Proof of legal marriage to a Nigerian citizen.
- Letter of Invitation: From your Nigerian husband.
- Evidence of Means of Livelihood: Demonstrating financial stability.
- Police Clearance Certificate: From your country of residence.
- Medical Certificate: Confirming good health status.
- CERPAC Form: Completed and submitted as part of the application process.
3. Application Process

- Await processing and approval of your residence permit.
3. IMPORTANT NOTICE
- Renewal of the CERPAC green card is applicable.
- The residence permit allows for indefinite stay in Nigeria but does not permit employment.
